Although, I’ve just technically experienced my second week at Brock, it’s actually my first week of getting to know my professors, and the numerous assignment due dates. This week was definitely more overwhelming than the first! Throughout all my schooling, I don’t think I have ever been so focused on starting assignments in advance and by the end of the second week. I just know, if I don’t budget my time accordingly, I’m going to feel even more pressure closer to the due date. It’s a given that the program is a lot of work! I hope I can get away without doing all the readings!! I know the majority of my time will be spent on assignments and not readings; it’s just the nature of school.
I’m pleasantly pleased with my placement at Dixie. It’s certainly a lot closer to home than Hamilton. I have yet to experience a grade 4 class! A friend of mine, said in her opinion grade 4 is the best grade of all. I’m looking forward to the new experience.
A little note to my fellow teacher candidates,
“Take care of yourself; eat healthy, exercise and sleep! Let’s support and help each other when we can!! This program is not a competition, we are all in it together”
Good job on the snacks, especially the chocolate cupcakes with icing, this week during Counselling Group!!

Hello Pam! I see with have both chosen pink as our template! I enjoyed reading your quote and am looking forward to working with such a supportive group of people. Knowing that we are all in this together makes things a lot easier. I too am excited about the placement at Dixie. I also am placed in a grade 4 classroom, so we will definatley be seeing eachother and hopefully sharing ideas and providing support. Looking forward to seeing you at Dixie!
Hello Pam,
I totally agree with your comment about this year not being a competition. We all have similar goals and will grow more as professionals if we take the time to share and support.
